1. Acceptance
By downloading or using PDFMagic ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the documents and images you process. The app runs tools on your device; you are responsible for the files you create and for having the right to use them. Do not use the app to process content you are not authorized to handle, or for any unlawful purpose.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to: violate any law; infringe others' intellectual property or privacy; forge, fraudulently alter, or unlawfully redact documents; or interfere with the app's security or operation.
5. Subscriptions & purchases
Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription and/or a one-time purchase, sold through the App Store and managed by Apple:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Prices are shown in-app before purchase and may vary by region.
6. Free features and Premium
Every on-device tool — including the AI features (summarize, translate, OCR) — is free to use with no daily limit. Premium is an optional upgrade that adds cloud storage, document templates, additional conversions, and removes ads. Included features may change over time.
7. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. PDF processing (including compression, repair, OCR, redaction, and conversions) may not be perfect for every file. You are responsible for verifying results — especially for redaction and signing, where you should confirm the output meets your needs before relying on or sharing it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Intellectual property
The app, its design, and its content (excluding your files) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. "PDF" and third-party product names (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are trademarks of their respective owners.
10. Changes & termination
We may update the app and these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or end the license if you violate these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
